Study: Are Female Students in Public Forum Style Debate Less Likely To Be Recorded?

The following is a paper by Anika Seth (Montgomery Blair ’21), Karina Samuel (North Broward ’22) and Mac Hays (Durham ’20). The study uses all publicly available recordings from the Tournament of Champions, and researches the underrepresentation of womxn debaters at the TOC on YouTube by observing, if any, a difference in prevalence of debates with female-perceived students versus debates with exclusively male-presenting.
