FAQ
Who can write for the blog?

Anyone who is involved in speech and debate. Students, former participants, coaches, parents, and advisors have all written. The only exception would be if you are actively spewing ideas we find to be hateful.

What content are you looking for?

We are looking for content that centers around issues of equity in debate. This includes, but isn’t limited to: sexism, queerphobia, racism, ableism, classism, xenophobia, and religious intolerance. While we encourage you to share personal experiences, Beyond Resolved is not a platform for you to resolve your personal drama. We reserve the right to censor identifying information where necessary.

Format wise, it can be whatever you feel comfortable with. We’ve published everything from fiction and poetry to academic papers. Everyone expresses themselves in different ways, and we are willing to serve as a platform for you to do so.

Can I be anonymous?

Yes!

How can I improve my odds of getting posted?

As of now, we plan on posting every submission we receive (within reason).
